How to Replace the Ignition Key in a Saab9-3

You have to replace your car keys in case it isn't turning. This guide will explain how to replace the ignition key on the Saab 9-3. You will need to replace the key, purchase an additional reprogrammable cell and buy a new case for your key-fob.

The majority of modern saab 9-3 key replacement models employ a transponder instead of a key made of metal to unlock the car and begin it. It could be time to replace your SAAB key fob if it's experiencing issues turning the barrel of your lock. The process is fairly simple and you don't even need to go to a dealership. Instead, you can do it yourself at home by using only a few tools.

First, you'll need to prepare the new keys. Before starting, make sure that the anti-theft system is disabled by placing blocks on your rear wheels and activating the handbrake. Insert the key into the ignition and turn the key to the "on" position. This will activate the accessories, but not start the engine. Repeat this procedure five times, then leave the key in the on position.
