It can be a real pain to lose keys to your car stolen. It's cheap and easy to get a new car key if there is an additional key.

To add an additional key, you'll need remove the electronic components from your old key fob, and be able to program it to your car using a technology called saab tech 2. Procrastinating this process will cost you.

Keys that have been stolen or lost are

If you've looked them up but the issue persists, you can try to solve it yourself by changing the program of the key. This is done by changing (in reverse Hex) the number count to zero in the ECU. You will need to open the case of your key fob to accomplish this. The best method for doing this is to remove the emergency key from the fob. Then, you can use a flathead tool to remove the fob's case to expose the battery. Be careful while doing this and do not pour or drop any liquids inside the fob as they could harm the electronic components within.

It is not uncommon for a battery to wear out in a keyfob after a few use years, especially if the fob is used frequently for locking and unlocking vehicles.
