The machine can dispense espresso, double espresso, gran lungo alto and mug drinks, with a smooth layer of crema.

The X7.1 isn't just a standout in terms of its brewing technology, but it also has other features. You can programme a cup size to suit your preference and there's the option of the temperature to increase to push your brew to a higher temperature at the touch of a button. You can also keep track with the maintenance schedule by receiving notifications when the capsule bin is empty or the water tank is due to be topped up.

The machine does not froth milk, but it can be used to make cappuccinos and flat whites with the use of a separate container. A lot of buyers have left favorable reviews on Amazon and John Lewis. They praise the machine's flexibility, quiet operation, and different lengths of the brews.

While there's not a huge amount of customer reviews there is a general consensus that this is a fantastic value pod coffee machine for those who like a simple setup.
