It's not as efficient in removing pet hair or other small mess as our top picks, but it's a great option for those on a budget. It also has the most features in terms of apps, such as virtual no-go areas and zone cleaning.

1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO is a solid, well-built robot that does an excellent job at vacuuming floors. It has a large dirt storage compartment on its exterior that automatically emptys when it reaches the docking stations, and then will resume cleaning once it has been recharged. The i3+ EVO's dustbin has capacity of 1.5 quarts which is smaller than most of the other robots we've tested. It has a release button on one side of the bin that you press to empty it. You can also empty it using the docking station’s Clean Base Automatic Dirt disposal, which soaks up the contents of its internal dustbin before emptying it into the station’s external dirt bag.

The Q5 Pro is a powerful mopping system with a suction rate of 5,500pa. It can be installed within a matter of minutes. The integrated 770ml dust bin and water tank reduce the frequency of emptying and its capacity is large enough to allow for longer mopping sessions. Its 240 minute duration makes it an excellent choice for larger homes. Its impressive clever navigation technology, courtesy of PreciSense LiDAR mapping, also ensures comprehensive coverage of the space, while allowing the robot to move around obstacles.

The Q5 Pro is unlike some other robot vacuums that require Wi-Fi in order to work. However, its battery is very small, which means it is necessary to charge it frequently in case you intend to use the machine for a long period of time. It is easy to maintain using a dirtbag that is easily replaced and has a simple plan of maintenance. It's also cheaper than the more expensive rivals.

The Q5 Pro can be a little bit finicky when it is dealing with pet hair as well as heavier debris, but it does a solid job overall. In our tests, it eliminated more debris on bare floors and low-pile carpet than the Dirt Devil Endura Max, though it struggled to get into the tight corners and recessed areas of high-pile carpet. 3. SwitchBot K10 Plus

If you're looking for a powerful vacuum cleaner that is able to also mop, then the SwitchBot K10 Plus is an excellent option. Its small size lets it reach places that larger robots aren't able to, such as corners and under furniture. It also has a sophisticated LiDAR sensor that can recognize obstacles and avoid collisions.

During our testing, the K10 Plus quickly and efficiently vacuumed dust, pet hair, crumbs, and other debris from our hardwood and carpet flooring. It also did a fantastic job of getting into tight places like under our beds and around the legs of chairs. It can be used to mop using a separate cloth or use a wet cloth. The K10 Plus comes with a small bag of wet wipes to get going.

The application for the K10 Plus is intuitive and simple to use. It offers several customization options including setting a zero disruption time, adjusting the layout of the map and setting a schedule for when you'd like it to clean. The app also monitors the use of different accessories such as the side brush, filter bin filter, side brush, and sensors. This can be useful in determining when it's time to replace them.

The K10 Plus's battery life is pretty decent too. We got approximately three hours of cleaning out of it with fully charged. It also recharges fairly quickly. When it's done with its work, it ejects the dirt into a huge dust bin that is located inside its base station. This can be noisy when it occurs, but at the very least it's not as loud as some of the other self emptying robot vacuums we've tested.

The design of the Roomba S9+ is elegant. It features an elongated frame that appears more modern than its competitors' circular bodies. This alternative shape also helps it to get into corners and along edges more easily. While it could leave dust in these areas in the event that the corner brush isn't turning fast enough, its powerful motor more than compensates for this.

In iRobot’s tests, the S9+ was able to pick up cat litter and pet hair with ease. It also performed exceptionally well on hard floors, as it utilized its powerful motor to power through most types of debris and clean the edges and corners with ease. The S8 can be controlled using a single button that also acts as a 'Clean' button for the entire robot, or the Spot Clean button that directs it to a specific area. You can also use the 'Dock/Home' option to return the robot to its home base. The app is easy to use and comes with a surprising number of features. It even lets you choose off-peak charging times in order to lower the cost of utilizing peak-time electricity.

The only downside to the S8 is that its battery does not last as long as it could with a battery that can last only 130 minutes of use when I left it on its default settings with both vacuuming and mopping enabled. That's a remarkable amount of time, and it was enough to completely clean my apartment.
