Hades is the God who rules the Underworld. This is the place where people go after they die. He was a cruel ruler and was revered throughout the Ancient Greek world.

It is also possible to obtain it by completing God Quests and occasionally from the Wretched broker in the House of Hades. Additionally, certain god-specific Boons such as Sunken Treasure from Poseidon or Premium Vintage from Dionysus can drop it. It is also available by fishing in Elysium.

When you've given a character with their first bottle, they'll offer you a Keepsake as a present in exchange. Keepsakes, which are a token of friendship with a specific character, will grant you several buffs in combat.

When you give a character his third or fourth Nectar bottle, they will unlock their Fated List Prophecies. For instance, in the Odyssey in which Menelaus and his comrades were disguised as seal skins, a goddess containing ambrosia rose from the heavens to overpower the dangerous odor.

Ambrosia, a special food reserved for Olympian Gods, was used in rituals as a way to differentiate between mortal and immortality. It was also a symbol of divine perfection as illustrated in the myth of Achilles, who was blessed with ambrosia by his mother Thetis to make him immortal. In the end, however Achilles was mortal once more because his heel was left untreated.

In addition to being consumed and drunk by the Olympian gods, ambrosia was also used as a salve or ointment for wounds or to anoint corpses. While you battle through the Underworld you can gift Nectar as you go to any god or NPC. Certain gods will reward you with a Keepsake. These unique items are useful buffs that make it much easier for Zagreus to escape the Underworld.

Keepsakes, unlike Boons can be upgraded over many runs. This can be accomplished by battling enemies in locations where the Keepsake of the corresponding god attached, or by visiting the store specifically for gods at the Crossroads. When the item's Rank has been raised, it will give a bonus effect that can be activated during combat. Keepsakes can be ranked by the number encounters they have been utilized in. This is a great way to boost your damage or heal.

There are 16 Keepsakes in total each with its own benefit. If you're fighting for survival in the Underworld it's a great way to prioritize your gifts. They're also a great alternative to the standard gods' boons, if you don't want to wait for them to spawn in the Rift or God Gate.

Certain gods have their own keepsakes, but you must visit their respective shops in the Underworld. Sigil of the Dead: Increases Zagreus' God Gauge's default percentage at the beginning of an encounter. Also grants access to Hades' Aid Call, which will fill the gauge when activated. Can be improved by adjusting it to a higher level however, removing it from between levels resets the God Gauge percentage to zero.

Each god's Keepsake offers unique buffs that can be extremely beneficial both in the early and late phases of the game. We recommend that you grab the Cerberus Keepsake Old Spiked Collar as soon as you can to increase your health.

The rest of the gods' Keepsakes are also worth getting as soon as you can. The Arachne and Narcissus ones are particularly useful because they allow you to get an entirely new weapon before you even start, while the Poseidon and Megaera ones let you take on more damage when you attack from behind.
