If you're looking to save money and don't want a stroller that doubles into a car seat carrier, the Babyzen Yoyo is a good choice. It comes with a flip-flop-friendly one-step footbrake.

It's simple to push, and it feels solid when traversing kerbs and woodland trails. Plus, it's a dream to fold.

1. Babyzen YOYO2

The Babyzen YOYO2 has earned a reputation as the most lightweight stroller, both for urban dwellers as well for jet-setters. This is due to its super nimble maneuverability and fold which fits in the overhead baggage of an aircraft. This latest version features independent suspension on all four wheels made of Hytrel elastomer. This allows it to perfectly navigate all terrains and types'.

The bent fabric bassinet, base YOYO2 and 6months of colour pack come together to create a sleek pushchair with a subtle elegant design. The frame's base weight is less than a kilo, and is so light you can lift it from the box using just one hand.

It can be used as a pram right from birth with the Newborn Pack or bassinet, or converted to a stroller after 6 months old by clicking on the YOYO Connect additional chassis.

2. Evenflo Pivot Xplore

The Evenflo Pivot Xplore is a great choice for parents looking for a versatile stroller wagon. It transforms from a stroller into a wagon just by flipping the handle, so parents can select the mode they prefer for their journey. The wagon is able to accommodate two or more children between 6 months to five years old. It comes with a large storage basket that can hold all your necessities when you are on the move.

The Xplore also has two canopies that rotate from front to back, ensuring ample sun coverage for all family members. It has a smaller footprint than other wagons. This isn't suitable for long trips or naps.

The frame of the Xplore wagon feels solid and sturdy but it does not flex as much as some other wagons we have test. It is also more difficult to fold than some of the competitors and does not lock tightly when folded. It is easy to maneuver however, and can fit through narrow 28-inch doors.

3. Delta Children LX Side-by-Side

This Delta Children bare-bones travel stroller is a great option for parents looking for a secondary stroller that's affordable. It scored highly in our Strollers & Multiples Test for weight and folded dimensions, which means it's lightweight and compact when folded and easy to move and store into a car trunk. It also comes with an adjustable recline seat that can be adjusted in multiple positions and cup holders for the parent. Other important features include two large hanging storage bags as well as 360-degree shock-absorbing front wheels.

In our test of push and turn it performed better than the majority of other strollers of a similar price we test, but it's not the easiest to maneuver over uneven ground or through doorways that are narrow. The sunshades it has are among the ones we tested the smallest, providing only direct overhead coverage and no peekaboo windows. The UPPAbaby G-Link 2 and Zoe Twin+ have significantly larger sunshades.

The Delta took us just over 3 minutes to assemble with an average manual and all of the components required tools. It is missing certain features we consider essential in a double stroller. They include a large basket, reclining seats, and adjustable leg rests.

4. Maxi-Cosi Zelia 2-in-1

The Zelia is the most recent version of Maxi-Cosi's pushchair range and is advertised as an urban travel system. It is designed to carry baby from birth up to around 3.5 years, converting easily between a seat and a carrycot by just only a few clicks. It is compatible with Maxi Cosi capsule car seats. It includes a light Mico 30 infant seat, a stay-in-car-base and a reversible baby carriage.

It is really easy to manoeuvre and the one-hand reclining of the seat as well as the huge shopping basket make it easy for parent-tots to get the child in and out quickly. Despite this being quite a narrow pushchair it handled the everyday bumps with ease and went through doorways without a hitch.

The front wheels are able to be locked in a forward-facing position, or they can pivot. This is useful when navigating rough terrain. We allowed the front wheels to swivel during our walk on the stony path. It was able to handle this well, though it did seem to be a bit more bumpy.

5. Baby Jogger City Tour 2,

Baby Jogger is most well-known for its 3-wheeled all-terrain strollers that jog. However, they also produce a wide variety of pushchairs that have four wheels. City Tour 2 is their most popular model. It is simple to fold and can fit into the trunk of a car even with the carrycot attached.

It is a bit heavier than the other strollers we test, but the wheels are rubber composite so it feels well-made and sturdy. It is easy to maneuver on different terrains, and even with two kids, a shopping bag and other things.

The carrycot and the seat both come with hoods with pull-down UV50+ sun canopy extensions. They are strong and waterproof, unlike other hoods for prams, which can be blown back onto toddlers' faces.

It does not have much storage space but it has a large basket deep enough to hold a changing bag or plenty of food. You can also use it with the Baby Jogger car seat for infants who weigh 20 pounds or less (car seat and adapters are sold separately). If you require a stroller that is able to be taken on the road, the City Tour 2 is an ideal choice.

6. Nuna Mixx Next

When the Nuna Mixx first rolled onto the scene it stole the hearts of parents everywhere. It's an aluminium framed stroller that can see you through your baby's initial days and beyond. It's got a few notable features, including the ability to flip the seat between parent and world-facing, a huge UPF 50+ canopy that has an eye-shade that flips out and a spacious basket as well as an adjustable handlebar.

The chassis has a suspension system built-in that helps reduce the impact of bumpy terrain. The wheels are made of tough foam, which reduces punctures. It was simple to push and our test driver was able to maneuver the car through narrow streets.

It locks automatically and folds in just four steps. It can also stand and be rolled around for easier transportation in the trunk of your car or down the stairs at home. The travel system is also available with the option to add an additional car seat or carrycot by using the adaptors included. The brakes are simple to use with single action, colour coded and flip-flop-friendly.

7. Babyzen Duet

This budget single stroller with bench seat pushchair is extremely easy to use and comes with great dual suspension, one-hand fold and a convenient carry strap. It's also very light and robust. The seat can be reclined into many different positions. It also has a double-breathable mattress that's suitable for infants.

The canopy/seat comes with two extra-large fixed or flip out sun visors. Both are UPF50+. The toggle closure isn’t ideal as it’s not as quiet as Velcro and could awaken napping babies.

The Duet is a stroller that can be used side-by-side and can be adapted to accommodate twins or other siblings (up to a maximum of 22kg per seat). It's compatible with two infant car seats and even can be used with carrycots. In twin mode the seats can be facing one another or turn around and face their parents, potentially decreasing sibling fights over who should sit with dad and mom. It comes with a big gear tray with a bottle holder as well as snack trays. It also comes with a compact stand fold, and an automatic frame lock.

8. Baby Jogger Urban Glide 2.

The Thule Urban Glide 2 is a jogger that's ideal for parents who like to stay active. It's one of the lightest strollers that you can purchase for your child. It also comes with great safety features, like a 5-point safety harness and wrist safety straps. It also comes with a twist hand brake which is different than the lever type used on rival models.

The seat is well-padded and has plenty of room to sit in, but the depth of the seat is lower than other joggers we've tested (it's about 10"). The storage bin has a zippered cover to help keep things secure. It can hold up to 10 lbs., which is sufficient for most diaper bags.

The Urban Glide 2 doesn't come with adapters for most infant car seats and bassinets however, you can use them from the first day with adapters that fit brands like BOB, Graco Combi Evenflo Britax UPPAbaby. It is simple to fold and assemble in just 5-10 minutes with no tools. The user manual is easy to read and is available in multiple languages.
